The City is attempting to complete the Notice and Service process in the next few weeks. Completion of this process may involve personal service or posting on properties. If you wish to file a response to the City’s cross-complaint, you have 60 days to do so from the date when you receive the Notice or are Served, even if that date falls after the Jan. 29, 2021 deadline for responses. For those parties who are not successfully served through this final attempt, the City will ask the Court to serve them by publication in the local newspaper.
Background: On Sept. 15, 2020, the proposing parties (the coalition of large water users) released the proposed Physical Solution. Thereafter, the proposing parties held many meet and confer sessions with interested parties who wanted to better understand the components of the proposed solution. The proposing parties plan to release a revised version of the Physical Solution in late February. The proposing parties remain available to meet individually with interested persons who wish to learn more about the Physical Solution and its components.
