Court Grants Extension to Jan. 29, 2021, for People to Respond to the Physical Solution

On Oct. 21, 2020, the Court granted the City of Ventura’s request to extend the deadline for people to decide how to respond to the City’s Third-Amended Cross-Complaint to Jan. 29, 2021. The previous deadline was Oct. 30, 2020.

The extension to January 29 gives people additional time to review the locally proposed plan and settlement agreement (called a “physical solution”) that was released by a coalition of the City and four other large water users on Sept. 15, 2020, before they decide whether to enter the case by filing an answer or whether they can agree to the physical solution.

The City and other proposing parties will continue to meet and confer with people who have questions about the proposed physical solution and we encourage anyone with questions to take advantage of this opportunity.

The Status Conference with the Court on the afternoon of Nov. 16 is still scheduled to take place.

Thank you to all those who have responded and returned the necessary documents, for putting their trust into this coalition and locally proposed solution.
